Adding new Fonts
Are you looking for a unique or special font? There are several ways to find and install new fonts for your machine.
Font Websites
Several font websites exist which allow you to download different fonts of your choice. Some recommended sites are:
Once you download your font, it will likely download as a .ZIP file. Once you double-click that file, it will open a folder with either .OTF or .TTF files inside it. These are your font files. Double-click the font file and select “install font” – you will then have that font installed on your machine. Note: this font will not work with Google products.

Adobe Fonts
As a member of GNS staff, you have access to the entire Adobe collection of 20,000 fonts. Here is how you can access them.
click the Adobe Creative Cloud icon in your menubar (see below)

click on Manage Fonts from the left sidebar
click the Browse More Fonts button on the upper right.
Click the Activate slider to install
You can also browse the full font collections and the entire library at https://fonts.adobe.com/
You must be logged into Creative Cloud using your GNS email address to get these free.
Note: Adobe fonts only work in desktop apps on your MacBook.
Google Fonts
Google also has 1290 open source fonts you can download and install from https://fonts.google.com (decompress the downloaded ZIP file, then double-click the individual font files to install using macOS Font Book). Google fonts installed on your Mac can only be used in desktop apps on your MacBook.
You can add any of the Google fonts to your Google Doc (therefore available in any web browser on any device) by choosing “More Fonts” from the fonts menu in the toolbar in any Doc, Sheet, or Slide document.
